Minnesota Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt in Accident in Farmington

A 56-year-old man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Farmington, Minnesota on May 19, 2016 at 2:44 p.m. The motorcycle was moving north on Highway 3 at 200th Street West. A 2010 Mercury Mountaineer was at the stop sign pointing west on 200th Street to turn south onto Highway 3. The Mountaineer pulled onto Highway 3 and hit the 2002 Harley Davidson Road Star motorcycle, which had the right of way. The road conditions were dry at the time of the accident.

The motorcyclist, a man from Farmington, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Some news reports state that he was transported by helicopter. The driver of the Mercury Mountaineer was not injured in the crash. The State Patrol is investigating the accident.
