Drunk Driving Suspected in Rollover, Death of Twin Cities Woman

A woman from Minnesota, is suspected of drunk driving and faces possible charges for the death of one of her passengers and injuries suffered by two other passengers.

On Thursday the driver was on Shipley Road in Alborn (about 30 miles from Duluth) when she crashed and rolled. Two passengers were thrown from the vehicle.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement: “Alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident.” Charges are expected after further investigation.

Last year, 81 (21%) of the 387 traffic fatalities in Minnesota involved drunk driving (Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety). Our lawyers help accident victims and families that have lost loved ones in alcohol-related accidents. In these cases, our clients want to do something to prevent the drunk driver from hurting anyone else.  We believe that filing a lawsuit against the drunk driver and holding that person accountable is a strong deterrent.
