Wrongful Death Accident near Olivia, MN Caused by Farm Vehicle

Sunday night, a man was driving his car, a 2005 Buick LeSabre, north on U.S. Highway 71 when he hit a farm vehicle that was possibly illegally parked on the side of the road, with 2 feet of the vehicle extending into the lane of traffic. The farm tractor accident happened just south of Olivia, Minnesota, and was reported around 8:40.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the front-seat passenger of the Buick died at the scene. The driver was flown by air ambulance to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, MN, where he succumbed to his fatal injuries.

One of the rear seat passengers of the Buick was taken to the Olivia Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The other passenger had no apparent injuries. In many cases it takes a few days, or even weeks, for back or neck pain to appear.

Attorney Fred Pritzker won a case very much like this one for a woman who suffered a severe traumatic brain injury when her automobile hit a farm sprayer.  “Most farm workers are careful and courteous on the road. It only takes one miscalculation to cause serious personal injury or wrongful death,” said Fred, who has won millions for accident victims and their families.
