Alicia’s Story

A pivotal moment that inspired Alicia to become a personal injury lawyer was when she worked as a legal assistant on an outbreak of fungal meningitis linked to steroid injections in 2012. The experience of helping victims who were harmed by a defective medical product is what motivated her to work for a personal injury law firm that advocates for the rights of injured people.

I find it rewarding to be able to help others navigate challenging and often complicated life events. I went to law school to help protect people against corporate wrongdoers. Now I am able to do that by defending the rights of injured people and working to help change the conduct and practices of wrongdoers for the better.” – Alicia

Alicia is known for listening to her clients with compassion and empathy. She prides herself on her discipline and organization, which allows her to translate complex legal processes into a clear plan of action.

A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Mitchell Hamline School of Law, Alicia received the CALI award for her outstanding knowledge and understanding of food law and regulations as it relates to the production, manufacture, and consumption of food. While in law school, she was the Online Executive Editor for Mitchell Hamline Law Review, an extern for United States Bankruptcy Court Judge William Fisher and volunteered for the Mitchell Hamline Pro se Clinic in family law. She also served as Treasurer for the Mitchell Hamline Legal Association for Women. After receiving her undergraduate degree in political science, Alicia worked at the Minnesota State Capitol in various capacities and on a political campaign, which gave her a unique perspective on how advocacy can make a difference in every area of the legal process.

Alicia has written on many areas of the law, including an American Bar Association article on how U.S. Supreme Court rules and technology changed in the age of pandemic COVID. She was named to the 2023 and 2024 editions of “Ones to Watch: Best Lawyers in America” for her high caliber work in personal injury litigation.

Personal and Family Life

A native of Minnesota, Alicia grew up in Hutchinson. She attended college at the University of Minnesota, where she studied abroad at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. She has volunteered with the Animal Humane SocietyWATCH, and the Save the Boundary Waters campaign. When she is not pursuing justice for her clients, Alicia enjoys practicing yoga, SCUBA diving with her husband, camping in northern Minnesota, and watching the TV-show, Survivor.

Often the best way to connect with people is simply to listen. I am always open to hearing about my clients’ stories, ideas, and experiences. Being genuine and empathetic will never go out of style.” – Alicia
