Neighbors reported hearing loud booms before seeing flames. Eden Prairie Fire Chief Scott Gerber told local media that it was likely the fire at one house and spread to the neighboring house. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.

The injured adults and children were taken to Hennepin Healthcare. Three of them have been released, one person remains hospitalized and is receiving treatment for burn injuries.
