A semi-truck hit and injured a 10-year-old girl riding her bike on a Crookston sidewalk Monday evening. Kaylee Acevedo fights for her life at a Fargo ICU after a semi-truck hit her at the intersection of Broadway and Robert Streets.
The crash report says Kaylee was riding her bike on the northeast corner of the sidewalk when the semi hit her. The Mack semi-truck, driven by Duane Schouveiller (73), was attempting a right-hand turn onto Broadway from westbound Highway 2.
Kaylee was airlifted to a Fargo hospital where her right leg was amputated. Her mother told Valley News Live that her daughter has a long road ahead of her.
