Semi Crash Injures Four Drivers on I-90 in Sturgis

A semi-truck caused a series of crashes that injured four people on I-90 in Sturgis on Monday. The crash happened at about 1:45 P.M. when a Freightliner semi traveling east rear-ended a snowplow. The impact of the crash caused a Peterbilt semi in a neighboring lane to jackknife, blocking both eastbound lanes. Seven other drivers were involved in a secondary crash as they tried to avoid the collision. Four drivers, including the driver of the Freightliner, were hospitalized. Charges are pending against the driver of the Freightliner semi-truck.
