Dump Truck Crash Injures 1 on Highway 169 Near Edina

A dump truck crash injured one person on Highway 169 near Edina on Tuesday afternoon. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. on Highway 169 near Valley View Road. A southbound dump truck, driven by a 23-year-old Farmington man, lost control and went into the median. The dump truck then swerved into the left lane of northbound traffic and crashed into a Ford pick-up truck. Both vehicles burst into flames after the crash. The pick-up driver, a 52-year-old Minnetonka man, sustained serious injuries. The dump truck driver was not injured.
