Construction Worker Seriously Injured in Semi Crash Near Sioux Falls

A 19-year-old construction worker suffered serious injuries in a semi crash near Sioux Falls, SD. The incident happened on Wednesday, July 8th at about 4:30 PM on Highway 42, just one mile west of the intersection of 12th Street and Ellis Road. The construction worker was moving cones on Highway 42 when a westbound semi-truck drove through the construction zone and struck the worker. The construction worker was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital with life-threatening injuries. The semi driver was uninjured.
