A semi crash near Cedar Rapids, IA killed two people on Monday afternoon. According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at about 2:30 PM along Covington Road, just north of Gibney Road. A grain-hauling semi-truck was driving southbound when it collided with two northbound vehicles. The drivers of the two vehicles died at the scene. The semi driver suffered serious injuries in the crash.
