An accident in Stearns County, Minnesota near St. Cloud between a tractor trailer and two other vehicles has injured two people. The crash happened at 8:22 p.m. on April 11, 2016 on Highway 23 at 25th Avenue South. All of the vehicles were moving eastbound on Highway 23 when traffic lights changed suddenly because of squad cars enroute in the area to an emergency call.
A 1999 Buick Regal driven by Daniel W. Franck of St. Cloud stopped suddenly because the lights changed unexpectedly. A 2013 Chrysler Town & Country behind the Buick, driven by 71-year-old Gary Bock of Brainerd, also stopped suddenly. The semi, a 1978 International Unk, driven by 64-year-old Rodney Meyer of Montevideo, Minnesota, did not stop in time. The semi struck the Town & Country from behind and pushed it into the Buick Regal.
The two injured persons, Mr. Bock and the passenger in the car, 75-year-old Charlotte A. Bock, were injured in the accident and were taken to St. Cloud Hospital. The road conditions were dry at the time. Mr. Franck’s physical condition was not documented. Mr. Meyer was not injured in the crash.
