Olive Garden Cyclospora Food Poisoning

Pritzker Hageman attorneys have filed Cyclospora lawsuits against the owner of Olive Garden restaurants and the owner of Taylor Farms lettuce salad products.

Olive Garden Cyclospora Outbreak Update

As of August 8, 2013, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been notified of 514 cases of Cyclospora infection (cyclosporiasis) from the following 17 states: Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York (including New York City), Ohio, Texas, and Wisconsin. Not all of these cases are linked to Olive Garden restaurants. Only Iowa and Nebraska have found a causal relationship between eating an Olive Garden salad and contracting a Cyclospora infection, and some cases in Iowa and Nebraska are not associated with Olive Garden. The primary link is Taylor Farms lettuce salad, which is the salad mix used by Olive Garden.

Most of the illness onset dates have ranged from mid-June through early July. At least 30 persons reportedly have been hospitalized in five states.
