Baltimore Construction Worker Killed In Pasadena Traffic Accident

A 58-year-old man was directing traffic in the middle of the intersection of Fort Smallwood Road and Hillcreek Road in Pasadena when he was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 32-year-old resident of Pasadena.  Chase, a construction worker from Baltimore, Maryland, was working at the construction site, which had caused traffic to be reduced to one lane on Smallwood Road. According to investigators, excessive speed and failing to follow traffic directions were the likely causes of the crash and Mr. Chase’s death. Chase was pronounced dead at the scene by members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department who had responded to the accident.
