Fresh & Ready Foods has issued a Listeria recall for sandwiches and snacks sold under the brand names Fresh & Ready, Fresh Take Crave Away, and City Point Market. The recall, which includes more than 80 items, was issued in connection with a Listeria outbreak that includes at least 10 illnesses.

The ready-to-eat sandwiches and snacks were distributed to vending areas and breakrooms at corporate offices, medical buildings, and healthcare facilities in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Washington between April 18, 2025, and April 28, 2025. The products, packaged in plastic containers, have “use-by” dates ranging from 4/22/2025 to 05/19/2025. They include bistro boxes, ciabatta sandwiches, croissant sandwiches, sub sandwiches, pasta salads, protein snacks and more.
The recall was issued after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found Listeria in an environmental sample collected during an inspection.
Listeria Symptoms
Symptoms of a Listeria infection usually appear within 24 hours of exposure but can sometimes take as long as 70 days to develop. They include:
- High fever
- Severe headache
- Stiff neck
- Muscle stiffness
- Nausea
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
Pregnant women can suffer a miscarriage or stillbirth even if they only experience mild flu-like symptoms.
