Jens’ Breakfast Burritos sold at kiosks in Washington state have been recalled for Listeria. Consumers who have purchased them should not eat them as Listeria can cause serious illness and death.

The breakfast burrito Listeria recall includes the following products:

  • Smoked Bacon Breakfast Burrito, 7-oz. individual wax paper packages with lot code 060-1 on a sticker on the back.
  • Ham Breakfast Burrito, 7-oz. individual wax paper packages with lot code 060-2 on a sticker on the back.
  • Seasoned Pork Breakfast Burrito, 7-oz. individual wax paper packages with lot code 060-3 on a sticker on the back.

Symptoms of a Listeria Infection

Symptoms of a Listeria infection usually develop within 24 hours of exposure but can sometimes take was long as a70 days to appear. They include:

  • High fever, severe headache
  • Stiff neck, and other muscle aches
  • Loss of balance, confusion or convulsions
  • Upset stomach or diarrhea

Pregnant mothers and babies are also at very high risk, as pregnant women are 20 times more likely than other people to contract Listeria infections.
