CrackleMi Cafe Salmonella Outbreak

Three customers who dined at CrackleMi Cafe between August 7 and August 17 developed symptoms of a Salmonella infection including nausea, fever, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea that was sometimes bloody. The cases were confirmed through laboratory testing. Whole genome sequencing performed on the Salmonella cultures from those patients revealed that they had all been sickened by the same strain.

All three people ate a different type of banh mi sandwich (pork, chicken, or egg). No ill employees were identified.
