Boy Dies in Boating Accident at Christian Summer Camp in Frazee, MN

Tragedy struck northwestern Minnesota last Thursday when 13-year-old Benjamin Rennie died in a boating accident on Lake Six at a Christian summer camp in Frazee. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says that Benjamin and another camper were being pulled on an inner tube by a boat that an employee of North Central Camp Cherith drove. When they fell off the tube into the water, the boat struck Benjamin when the driver attempted to pick them back up. Life-saving measures were attempted at the scene but sadly, Benjamin died from his injuries.
