Symptoms of Salmonella Infection

Symptoms of a Salmonella infection in humans, which include nausea, fever, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea that can be bloody, usually, develop within six to 72 hours of exposure.

Some pets with these infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Others will have only decreased appetite, fever, and abdominal pain. Infected pets with no symptoms can be carriers and infect other animals or humans.

Contact your veterinarian if your pet has consumed the recalled product and has symptoms.
