Work Truck Struck and Killed Bicyclist in Crash Near Rochester

A flatbed work truck struck and killed a bicyclist in a crash near Rochester, Minn. on Tuesday morning. The crash happened when the truck collided with a bicyclist near the intersection of Country Club Road SW and 60th Avenue SW in Olmsted County. The bicyclist, 48-year-old Stephan Peiper from Rochester, died at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department says the intersection will be closed for an “indefinite period of time” during the investigation.
