A woman died in a head-on crash on a northern Minnesota highway on Monday afternoon. The crash happened just before 2:00 p.m. on Highway 200 in Turtle Lake Township. Virginia Steward (53) of Longville, MN was driving west when a pick-up truck, driven by Corey Wuori (39) of Walker, struck her vehicle head-on while attempting to pass another vehicle. Steward was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the pick-up truck, Lavae Oothoudt (39) of Sauk Rapids, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol was detected in his system.
