A car crash in Le Sueur County killed four people and injured four others late Sunday evening. Le Sueur police arrived on the scene of the car crash after a Ford SUV and Chevy pick-up collided at the intersections of county roads 15 and 22. All seven occupants of the SUV are from Piedmont, Calif. Four of the seven died at the scene, including John St. John (54) who was driving, Jill St. John (56), a 13-year-old girl, and a nine-year-old boy. Three surviving passengers were taken to area hospitals, including a 41-year-old woman, a 15-year-old boy, and a nine-year-old boy. The woman and the 15-year-old were taken to Hennepin Healthcare and the nine-year-old to Children’s Hospital. The pick-up driver, Rusbel Marroquin Jr. (41) of Le Sueur, was taken to Mayo Health System Clinic in Mankato.

The Le Sueur County Sheriff says the cause of the crash is not yet known. Investigators do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
