Explosion at Southern California Innovation Park Injures 4

AMR Ambulance - Los Angeles Explosion Lawyers3 people Seriously Burned – Transported To Hospital

An explosion the morning of February 2nd sparked a fire near the Southern California Innovation Park close to the Rye Canyon Loop in Santa Clarita.  Witnesses say four people were injured. Three of the injured were reported to have serious 2nd and 3rd degree burns and were rushed to Henry Mayo Hospital.

The Explosion Investigation Is Ongoing

While the sheriff’s department is still investigating, and arson and bomb specialists were at the scene, some witnesses said that the explosion was caused by a “pyrotechnic failure” at a tractor-trailer storage facility. The explosion was strong enough to feel like an earthquake to nearby residents and it sparked a wild fire that burned almost an acre of land as it raced uphill before being brought under control by responding fire crews and a firefighting helicopter. Despite the witness accounts and the reported size of the explosion, as yet no structures have been identified as having sustained damage. The area is sometimes used as a movie set, but people on the scene said that no movies were shooting there at the time the explosion occurred.
