Amusement Ride Death Closes Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park For Two Days

The tragic death of a 6-year-old Colorado Springs girl on Sunday has lead to the closure of the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs, Colorado though today. The park is located at the top of a mountain chain just to the West of Lookout Mountain.

The girl reportedly was riding on the newly opened ‘Haunted Mine Drop’ ride when she passed away.  Details of what led to her death have not yet been released. A short statement released by Glenwood Springs Adventure park read, “Out of respect and concern for all parties involved, we will not have further comment until all details have been confirmed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all involved.” and provided no additional information.
