Western Minnesota Bicycle Crash Kills One, Injures Another

An SUV struck two teenage boys riding their bicycles in western Minnesota on Tuesday. Blake Nohre (14) of Miltona died at the scene and Nick Lambertson (14) of Alexandria suffered critical injuries. Lambertson was taken to HCMC by air ambulance. Miltona and Lambertson were biking with a third 14-year-old boy who was not injured.

The crash happened just before 10:00 P.M. on County Road 9 NE, just south of Carlos. The three bicyclists were riding south when two of them were struck by a southbound SUV driver. Their families say that the boys were best friends. A GoFundMe page for Nohre says that he was excited to start his first year of high school and enjoyed “hunting, fishing, golfing but most of all…family time.” A separate GoFundMe for Lambertson says that he “lost one of his best friends…is in very bad condition and may not walk again.”
