Rogers County House Explosion Seriously Injures Mother and Baby

A mother and her eight-month-old son suffered serious burn injuries when a house exploded in Inola, OK on Saturday. Fire officials arrived at the scene on East 580 Road and South 4170 Road at about 11:00 AM. The Rogers County Sheriff’s Office says that a gas leak from an outdoor propane tank caused the explosion. Investigators say the explosion happened when the 28-year-old mother tried to light the stove in a guest house where she was living with her child. The explosion destroyed the guest house and a nearby shed. The mother and baby were taken to a hospital in Tulsa with critical injuries. Sadly, the mother died over the weekend.
