A boat explosion on Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma on May 23 injured two people. One of them, Ashley Jansson, 36, of Kansas, sustained multiple burns and is in critical condition at the Alexander Burn Center at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. Johnny Marshall, 41, also from Kansas, sustained burns to his arms, legs and head but declined treatment at the scene.

Lake Eufaula is in eastern Oklahoma. Jansson and Marshall were the only ones aboard the boat when it exploded for an unknown reason at around 12:20 p.m. The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
