A head-on car crash seriously injured a woman in Nowthen, MN last Thursday. The crash happened shortly after 4:00 PM on Viking Boulevard when a car traveling west struck a pick-up truck head-on. The car’s driver, Jared Ray Hortian (52) of Elk River, died at the scene. The driver of the pick-up truck that was struck by the car, Kelly Elizabeth Pierce (39) of East Bethel, was seriously injured. Pierce was transported to HCMC.
