Crash Between Semi and Car Leaves Two Drivers Dead Near Northfield

A fatal crash between a semi-truck and a passenger car in Northfield left both drivers dead this morning. The crash happened shortly after 7:30 A.M. on Highway 19 near Baldwin Avenue. The semi-truck was traveling west when it collided head-on with an eastbound car. The car’s driver, Bobak Barjasteh (28) of Northfield died in the crash. The driver of the semi, Richard Banidt (59) of Goodhue also died in the crash. A third vehicle that as also involved in the crash did not report any injuries.
