Boat Explosion Injures Two at Salisbury Marina

Two people suffered serious burn injuries in a boat explosion at a marina in Salisbury, MA on Wednesday. Fire crews responded to reports of an explosion at Bridge Marina just before 4:00 PM. The boat, Vitamin Sea, ignited while docked at a filling station. A Bridge Marina employee said that as he was pumping gas into the boat’s tank, he saw gas leaking from the boat before it blew up. A man and a woman, both in their 20s, were transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious burns. According to the Salisbury Fire Department, seven people were in or around the boat when it exploded.
