ATV Accident in Banks Twp., PA Leaves Woman Dead, Child Injured

One woman is dead and a child is injured after an ATV accident in Banks Twp., PA on June 7. The driver has been charged with homicide.

The accident occurred around 1 a.m. near the intersection with West Main St. and Lincoln Circle. Kimberly Kraus, 30, and the child, were ejected. Both suffered head injuries and were transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton. The child was treated and released. Kraus was airlifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where she later died.

The driver, Joseph Reese, 42, was charged with “homicide by vehicle while DUI, homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, DUI, simple assault, two counts of recklessly endangering another person, careless driving, reckless driving, ATVs Operation on streets and highways and unlawful operation of an ATV in a careless way,” according to a report by Fox56 News.
