Answers Sought for Orr Street House Explosion in Pelzer, South Carolina

Authorities are searching for answers after Crystal Lynn Pearson, 34, was killed in a house explosion and fire in Pelzer, South Carolina. Emergency responders found Pearson’s body on the couch in the front room of the home on Orr Street where she lived with her parents. Anderson County Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman told local media that he believes Pearson, who was home alone, was trying to escape the fire but died of smoke inhalation.

Firefighters were called to the scene around 11 p.m. last night. They believe the explosion, which occurred after the fire began, involved oxygen tanks that belonged to Pearson’s grandmother who recently died.
