A semi-trailer truck struck and killed a woman in McLeod County, MN on Tuesday. The crash happened at about 6:00 AM at the intersection of Hwy. 212 and McLeod Ave. (County Rd. 9) near Plato Township. Candice J. Pederson (67) of Waconia was traveling south on Hwy. 212. When she entered the highway intersection, her vehicle was struck by a westbound semi-truck, driven by William Howard Brooks III of Stewart. Pederson died in the crash. The semi-truck driver was not hurt.
