Motor Home Fire in St. Paul, MN Leaves 1 Dead and Another Injured

One person died and another was injured in a motor home fire in St. Paul, MN. When firefighters arrived at the scene at Arundel St. and Cook Ave. around 10:30 PM, they found fire and smoke pouring out from the front of the vehicle. One person died while trapped inside the vehicle and another escaped with minor injuries. A teenage bystander told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that “bystanders had to pull the driver away because he kept trying to get in and people were worried he would get injured.” The male driver and other bystanders unsuccessfully tried to open the door of the vehicle to save a woman trapped inside. The St. Paul Fire Department says the cause of the fire is “presumed to be a mechanical failure and accidental.”
