Minnesota Family Rear-Ended by Semitrailer in Evansdale, Iowa

A GoFundMe account has been created to raise money for the Buck family, four members of which were seriously injured in a traffic accident on December 29, 2017. The accident happened on Interstate 380 in Evansdale, Iowa, near Waterloo.

Eric and Amy Buck, residents of St. Paul, were traveling in separate cars on their way home from visiting family. Amy Buck and three of her six children were traveling in a 2003 Toyota Camry when they became part of a multi-vehicle crash. A Freightliner semitrailer rear-ended them. All four were injured and transported to the hospital. One child, their 14-year-old son, was transported by air ambulance with a severe traumatic brain injury. He is still in critical condition in an Iowa hospital.

The GoFundMe account has raised over $14,000 so far, with donations by over 200 people. It is in emergencies like this one where this kind of fundraising is needed. When a child is hospitalized in another state, this money can help make sure at least one parent can be with that child.
