Two Teenagers Killed in Semi Crash in Clinton

Two teenagers were killed in a crash with two tractor-trailers on May 3, 2016 on Interstate 20 west near Clinton. The accident happened about 2:00 p.m. near the Norrell Road exit. Both teens were students at Central Hinds Academy.

An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old were pronounced dead at the scene. The teens were riding in a GMC pickup truck that was stopped behind an 18-wheeler in a construction zone. A second semi truck did not stop, but rear-ended the pickup and pushed it into the first big rig.

Both of the teenagers were from Raymond, Mississippi. A GoFundMe account has been established to help the families of these young men. The teens were best friends, according to the GoFundMe page. On young man was a junior at his high school, and the other was a senior who was going to graduate next week.
