Two People Killed in Semi Crash in Allen County

Two people were killed in a crash with a semi truck on January 17, 2016 in Allen County. The accident happened on I-69 at the 293 mile marker around 5:45 am on a Sunday morning. The interstate was shut down for three hours while the accident was investigated.

Those killed were a 24-year-old woman from Swayzee and a 29-year-old man from Marion. They both died at the scene. Their car was driving southbound when the vehicle crossed the median and went into the path of a northbound semi truck. The driver of the semi truck received a minor injury. Two GoFundMe accounts have been set up for Marlyssa, one for funeral expenses and one for her boys. She leaves behind two young boys, her parents, and several siblings. We have not been able to find any information for Mr. Bryant.

According to news reports, slick roads may have been a factor in this accident. There were several dozen other accidents that weekend in the same area.
