A propane tank explosion on Thursday injured a Winslow, AR man. Gary Mills was airlifted to a hospital in Springfield, MO for treatment of burns.
Mills was new to the area and had just gotten the propane tank on Wednesday. He told a neighbor that he lit the stove to make some eggs at about 2 a.m. on Thursday and there was an explosion.
The neighbor found Mills in a field 50 feet from his trailer near 600 Main St. Firefighters said the tank was leaking propane into Mills’ trailer and the force of the explosion blew the walls of the trailer and threw him into the field. Neighbors say the explosion sounded like a bomb went off.
