Pedestrian Badly Injured by Truck on Sidewalk

We are a Minnesota law firm that represents clients with personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits. One of our cases involved a pedestrian being hit by a commercial truck while on a sidewalk. Our client was waiting on the sidewalk at an intersection when a garbage truck ran into him, causing him serious injuries, including organ damage and internal bleeding.

Attorney Fred Pritzker was the lead lawyer for that case. Contact our law firm if you need a Minnesota lawyer.

A woman from El Paso was walking on a city sidewalk with a 7-year-old child when a Chevy truck ran her over as the two pedestrians crossed a driveway. The truck injury, reported by the City of El Paso in a news release, said the woman suffered life-threatening injuries. Both of these truck accident victims were hospitalized, but the child’s injuries were “reported to be minor in nature,” the city said.

“It has been determined that failure to yield right of way to a pedestrian while exiting a private drive is a factor in this crash,” the city’s report said. This crash happened around 9:51 a.m. on October 2 in the 4700 block of North Mesa near Executive Center Boulevard. The 30-year-old truck driver was not injured. “This case remains an ongoing investigation and no other information has been deemed releasable,” the city press release said.
