Trader Joe’s Recall Lawsuit: E. coli from Salad

Trader Joe’s issued a recall of 3 salads, 2 of them implicated in an outbreak of E. coli O157 illnesses in California, Arizona and Washington: Field Fresh Chopped Salad with Grilled Chicken and Mexicali Salad with Chili Lime Chicken. Attorneys Fred Pritzker and his Bad Bug Law Team are investigating a lawsuit against Trader Joe’s and Glass Onion Catering, the Calif. company that made the salads.

“The salads implicated in the outbreak had three ingredients in common: mixed greens, Asiago cheese and chicken,” said Fred, who recently won $4.5 million for a woman who ate food contaminated with E. coli and developed hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), which then caused kidney failure, severe hypertension and other health problems. “Of these, the mixed greens are the most likely culprit,” continued Fred.

“We are helping victims of this outbreak who want to sue Trader Joe’s and Glass Onion for hospital bills and other medical expenses, lost wages, physical pain, emotional suffering and other damages.”

In cases like this, lawsuits can be filed and won without knowing exactly which ingredient was the contaminated source. You can contact Fred for a free consultation (click here now) if you want to discuss your E. coli claim.
