E. coli Outbreak in Cincinnati, Ohio Possibly Caused by Leafy Greens Served at an Area Restaurant

Attorney Fred Pritzker and his Bad Bug Law Team are investigating an outbreak of E. coli food poisoning in Cincinnati, Ohio. According to the Hamilton County Department of Health, the outbreak was possibly caused by leafy greens served at a Cincinnati area restaurant.

“Leafy greens have been the source of several E. coli outbreaks,” said Fred, who has won millions of dollars for E. coli victims, including a recent $4.5 million recovery for a young woman sickened by E. coli O157. He represents E. coli victims throughout the United States in lawsuits against restaurants, retailers, food manufacturers and others.

This outbreak has 5 confirmed cases and one probable case of E. coli O157:H7. Of those sickened, 4 are females and 2 are males, with ages ranging from 12 to 83.  These people have the right to seek compensation from the restaurant and possibly others, including the company that supplied the leafy greens to the restaurant.  Some E. coli victims develop hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) and/or thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), both deadly illnesses that can cause kidney failure, brain damage and a host of other serious problems.

One of the reasons to seek compensation is that E. coli infections put the victims at risk of future health problems, including kidney injury.  In some cases, a kidney transplant is needed.
