Woman Dies in Clarksville Apartment Fire

Lawsuit for Family of Person Who Dies in an Apartment Fire

The family of a person who dies in an apartment fire may have a wrongful death claim, meaning the family can sue the landlord (owner of the building) and, in some cases, a company involved in the maintenance of the apartment. We look at whether there were smoke detectors, whether these were in working order, whether there were hazards in the building that caused or contributed to the severity of the fire, and many other factors.

Even if the source of the blaze was the fault of a tenant, the landlord may be legally responsible if there is an issue with the smoke detectors, escape routes, etc.
