Updated October 2 with additional product alerts. After being linked to a deadly Listeria outbreak, Nate’s Fine Foods of Roseville, CA, issued a recall for products containing pasta. The outbreak has caused 20 illnesses, 19 hospitalizations, four deaths, and one fetal loss. The potentially contaminated products include:
- Marketside Grilled Chicken Alfredo with Fettuccine sold at Walmart
- Home Chef Heat & Eat Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo sold at Kroger and the Kroger family of stores
- Marketside Linguine with Beef Meatballs & Marinara sold at Walmart
- Trader Joe’s Cajun Style Blackened Chicken Breast Fettuccine Alfredo sold at Trader Joe’s
- Scott & Jon’s Shrimp Scampi with Linguini
- Pasta Salads sold at Albertsons and the Albertsons family of stores
Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo Listeria Recall
These recalled products were made by Fresh Realm of Indianapolis and sold at Walmart and the Kroger family of stores, including Dillons, Baker’s, Gerbes, King Soopers, Jay C, City Market, Fry’s, Fred Meyer, Ralphs, Payless Supermarket, QFC, and Smith’s. On June 18, Fresh Realm issued a recall for the following products:
- MARKETSIDE GRILLED CHICKEN ALFREDO WITH FETTUCCINE Tender Pasta with Creamy Alfredo Sauce, White Meat Chicken and Shaved Parmesan Cheese with best-by date 06/27/25 or prior, 32.8-oz. tray packages
- MARKETSIDE GRILLED CHICKEN ALFREDO WITH FETTUCCINE Tender Pasta with Creamy Alfredo Sauce, White Meat Chicken, Broccoli and Shaved Parmesan Cheese” with best-by date 06/26/25 or prior, 12.3 oz. tray packages
- HOME CHEF Heat & Eat Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo with pasta, grilled white meat chicken, and Parmesan cheese, with a best-by date of 06/19/25 or prior, 12.5 oz. tray packages
The recalled products have the establishment numbers “EST. P-50784,” “EST. P-47770,” or “EST. P-47718” printed on the side of the packaging.
On September 25, the USDA issued a public health alert for additional products made by Fresh Realm containing pasta that may be contaminated with Listeria.
MARKETSIDE LINGUINE WITH BEEF MEATBALLS & MARINARA SAUCE, 12-oz, with “best if used by” dates SEP 22, 2025; SEP 24, 2025; SEP 25, 2025; SEP 29, 2025; SEP 30, 2025; and OCT 01, 2025. The establishment number “EST. 50784” or “EST. 47718” appears on the packaging.
TRADER JOE’S CAJUN STYLE BLACKENED CHICKEN BREAST FETTUCINE ALFREDO, 16-oz. plastic tray packages, with “best if used by” dates 9/20/2025, 9/24/2025, 9/27/2025, 9/28/2025, 10/01/2025, 10/03/2025, 10/05/2025, 10/08/2025, or 10/10/2025. The establishment number “P- 45288” is inside the USDA mark of inspection.
Albertsons Pasta Salad Listeria Recall
On September 29, Albertsons posted a recall for pasta salads sold at its family of stores including: Albertsons, Albertsons Market, Amigos, Andronico’s Community Markets, Carrs-Safeway, Eagle, Pak ‘N Save, Pavilions, Market Street, Randalls, Safeway, Tom Thumb and Vons in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Louisiana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.
The recalled products were prepared by Fresh Creative Foods, a division of Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc. They include:

Grilled Chicken Basil Pasta
Spinach Bowtie Pasta Salad
Scott & Jon’s Shrimp Scampi with Linguini Listeria Recall
On October 1, Demers Food Group recalled select Scott & Jon’s Shrimp Scampi with Linguini

Listeria Symptoms
Symptoms of a Listeria infection usually appear within 24 hours of exposure but can sometimes take as long as 10 weeks to develop. They include:
- Severe headache
- High fever
- Stiff neck
- Other muscle stiffness
- Nausea
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Confusion
- Loss of balance
- Convulsions
Pregnant women can suffer a miscarriage or stillbirth even if they only experience mild flu-like symptoms.
