Nature’s Wonder Mung Bean Sprout Listeria Recall

Chang Farm of Whatley, MA is recalling Nature’s Wonder mung bean sprouts for Listeria with a “sell-by” date of December 13, 2023. Consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them as Listeria can cause severe illness and death. Among pregnant women, Listeria can cause miscarriage and stillbirth.

Nature’s Wonder Bean Sprout Listeria Recall

The problem was discovered when a random product sample tested by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services was positive for Listeria Monocytogenes. The finding was later confirmed by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The recall includes:

  • 12-oz plastic packages labeled Nature’s Wonder Premium Bean Sprouts
  • “Sell By” date of December 13, 2023.
  • States affected MA, CT, NY, and MD
