Houston Area Cyclospora Outbreak

County health officials in the Houston metro area are investigating several clusters of Cyclospora illnesses associated with several gatherings. The public health departments in Harris and Ford Bend counties have reported a spike in non-travel-related cases of cyclosporiasis, the infection caused by the parasite Cyclospora.
