Salmonella Recall for Arcoiris Marshmallow Cookies

Gamesa Arcoiris Marshmallow Cookies have been recalled for potential Salmonella contamination. Consumers who have purchased them should not eat them as Salmonella can cause serious illness.

On November 7, Comercializadora PepsiCo S. de R.L. de C.V. issued a Salmonella recall for the cookies sold in 15.5 oz, 6-count packages of the cookies. The recalled cookies have the UPC 6 86700 10132 4 and “best before” dates of 28MAR23, 5MY228001
28MAR23, and 6MY128101.

The recalled cookies were distributed to warehouses in California and Texas and may have reached some retail stores.

Symptoms of a Salmonella infection, which include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, usually developed within six to 72 hours. Sometimes, when infections reach the bloodstream, more severe illnesses, such as arterial infections, endocarditis, and arthritis, can occur.
