Banana Cream Pie Puffs Built Protein Bar E. coli Recall

Built Brands, LLC of American Fork, UT, has issued an E. coli recall for Banana Cream Pie Puffs protein bars. The recall includes 4,196 individual bars distributed nationwide to 1,049 potential customers through mail order. Customers would have received the potentially contaminated bars after June 6, 2022.

The recalled product was sold in 40-gram packages marked with lot # D22151011 on the outside of the wrapper.

The problem was discovered during routine testing performed by an accredited third-party laboratory at the request of Built Brands. At the time of the recall, the company was not aware of any confirmed illnesses.

Symptoms of an E. coli infection include abdominal cramps and diarrhea that can be bloody. Anyone concerned about an illness associated with these products should contact a healthcare provider.
