A Listeria recall has been issued for butternut squash products produced by Lancaster Foods LLC and sold at grocery stores in NC, VA, DC, MD, PN, NY, NJ, CT, RI, MA, NH, and VT. Consumers who have purchased pre-cut butternut squash products recently should check recall information carefully as Listeria can cause serious illness and death.

This recall occurs at the same time another company has issued a recall for butternut squash spirals and chunk products. Lancaster has temporarily halted production while an investigation is conducted.

The recalled butternut squash products produced by Lancaster were sold as noodles, chunks and mixed with other vegetables were sold in clear plastic clamshell containers and in plastic bags labeled Grab & Steam.
