New Seasons Ground Beef E. coli Outbreak and Recall Expand

An E. coli outbreak linked to contaminated ground beef sold at New Seasons Market stores in Oregon now includes four people. A related recall has been expanded to include ground beef with “sell by” dates up to November 11, 2019. Consumers who have recently purchased ground beef at New Seasons Market stores should check recall information carefully.

The recall includes New Seasons fresh in-house ground beef and ground beef products sold in bulk from the meat cases and in packages from “grab and go” cases at all New Seasons Markets stores in Oregon, Washington and California. The recalled ground beef products have “Packed On” dates ranging from Oct. 19, 2019, to Nov. 8, 2019, and “Sell By” dates ranging from Oct. 23, 2019, to Nov. 11, 2019.
