A dog bit and seriously injured a young boy while he was visiting a home in Isanti County, MN. The 11-year-old was airlifted to Children’s Minnesota hospital for treatment. Officials say he is in stable condition but will need multiple surgeries. Another 11-year-old boy, who lives at the home in Bradford Township, suffered minor injuries. At the time of the attack, the two boys were trying to take the dog out of its kennel.
The dog, a 10-month-old American bully breed male, had been recently neutered and was wearing a protective cone when he hurt the boys. The dog belongs to the homeowner’s adult son, who recently moved in temporarily with his girlfriend and her son. Authorities ordered the dog under quarantine in the home for 10 days as they await the results of a rabies test.
