Breakfast burrito and wrap products that are part of the USDA’s National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs have been recalled for Listeria. On October 18, M.C.I. Foods Inc. of Santa Fe Springs, CA, issued a recall for approximately 91,585 pounds of burritos and wraps after a supplier notified the company that the eggs may be contaminated with Listeria.

What Products are Included in the Breakfast Wrap Listeria Recall
The breakfast wrap Listeria recall includes seven products. All of them have “EST. 1162A” or “P-5890A” inside the USDA mark of inspection on their labels.

- Los Cabos Sausage, Egg & 3 Cheese Breakfast Burrito product code, lot code 61304 80900
- Los Cabos Egg, Cheese, Potato & Cooked Sausage Crumbles (Made with Turkey) Breakfast Wrap, product codes 77869, 97869, lot codes 80872, 80876, and 80881
- Los Cabos Egg, Cheese & Cooked Sausage Crumbles (Made with Turkey) Breakfast Wrap, product code 97892, lot code 80878
- Los Cabos Cheese, Cooked Sausage Crumbles Made with Turkey) & Egg Breakfast Wrap, product codes 97896, 80892, lot codes 80898, 80931

The individually packaged burritos and wraps were produced between September 17, 2025, and October 14, 2025, packed frozen, and distributed to foodservice establishments and schools nationwide.
What to Do if You or Your Child May Have Eaten These Products
Monitor yourself for Listeria symptoms. Usually, they appear within 24 hours of exposure but can sometimes take as long as 10 weeks to develop. They include:
- Severe headache
- High fever
- Stiff neck
- Other muscle stiffness
- Nausea
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Confusion
- Loss of balance
- Convulsions
Pregnant women can suffer a miscarriage or stillbirth even if they only experience mild flu-like symptoms.
